On April 19, 2024, Dr. Matevž Košir, Head of the Division for the Protection of Archive Material from Specialized Archives, Archives of the Republic of Slovenia, and his delegation visited the Shanghai Library East, accompanied by personnel from the Exchange and Cooperation Department of the National Archives Administration and the Shanghai Municipal Archives Administration. Xu Qiang, Deputy Director of the Shanghai Library, warmly received Dr. Košir and his delegation.
Dr. Košir, accompanied by Director Xu, visited the atrium and souvenir shop on the 1st floor, Reading Square on the 3rd floor, Genealogy Library and Manuscript Library on the 4th floor, Music Library on the 5th floor and Treasured Collections Library on the 7th floor. Director Xu gave Dr. Košir an introduction to the development of the Shanghai Library, the "Window of Shanghai" project and its distribution in Slovenia. Both sides expressed hopes for the cooperation and exchanges on areas of mutual interest, such as the exhibition of library collections and etc. in the future. Yu Jiang, Director the Library Administration Office, and other relevant personnel participated in the reception.

In order to view the collection of Western ancient books in the Shanghai Library, Dr. Košir and his delegation visited BIBLIOTHECA ZI-KA-WEI on April 20th.
