At 4:00 p.m. on June 16, 2023, Mr. János Csák, Minister of Culture and Innovation of Hungary and his eight-member delegation visited Bibliotheca Zi-Ka-Wei of the Shanghai Library. Director Chen Chao, on behalf of the Shanghai Library, welcomed the visit of Minister Csák and his delegation.

Xu Jinhua, the head of Bibliotheca Zi-Ka-Wei gave the distinguished foreign guests a brief introduction to the Bibliotheca and showed four items related to the cultural exchange between China and the West in the large reading room on the second floor, including Sapientia Sinica in Latin (part of the Analects) published in 1662, Flora Sinicae in Latin published in 1656, the English newspaper China Press published in December 1934 and the English book Desk Hong List published in 1930. Director Chen Chao and Minister Csák exchanged present books in the reading room on the second floor.
