On February 21, 2023, Mr. Wojciech Zajaczkowski, Polish Ambassador to China, accompanied by Mr. Piotr Nowotniak, Polish Consul General in Shanghai, visited Bibliotheca Zi-Ka-Wei of the Shanghai Library. Xu Jinhua, who is in charge of the Bibliotheca, gave a brief introduction to the history of Xujiahui (Zi-Ka-Wei) and the two relief works in the reading room. In the big reading room, Mr. Ambassador was extremely pleased with the items in the library collection - Flora sinensis and Specimen medicinae sinicae written by the Polish sinologist Michel Boym. The Consul General said that he will apply for a library card and he also invited the librarians to visit the library in his Consulate.
