The Sixth Shanghai Get-Together Writing Contest Entering the Evaluation Stage

 

The Sixth Shanghai Get-Together Writing Contest began soliciting essays from foreign readers all over the world on April 23, 2021, World Reading Day. As of January 31, 2022, the library received a total of more than 280 essays written by people from more than 30 countries around the world; as of April 2022, a total of 17 essays were shortlisted, written by people from more than ten countries, including the United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, Denmark, Australia, Malaysia, Argentina, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, etc.

At present, the three organizers of this contest — Shanghai People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism and Shanghai Library, and Shanghai Daily, the co-organizer, are inviting experts to conduct evaluations, and eventually winners for 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes, and several commemorative prizes will be selected.
