Rules for Entering the Shanghai Library East
During the period of normalized epidemic prevention and control, in order to ensure the health and safety of readers, the library controls the total number of people entering the library every day and at the same time. Currently, for the book loan and reading services inside the library, we implement the full reservation system (no reservation is required for the 24-hour self-service book borrowing and returning outside the library).
I. Rules for Entering the Library
1. To ensure the smooth operation of the library, readers are required to enter the library at the South Gate (near Exit 3 of the Shanghai Science and Technology Museum Station, Metro Line 2) and the North Gate (near the intersection of Hehuan Road and Hanxiao Road, and near Exit 4 of the Yingchun Road Station, Metro Line 18);
2. During the normalized epidemic prevention and control period, readers must present their reservation information after arriving at the library, and check the green "Shanghai QR code" (minors accompanying the adults need to present the "Shanghai QR code for Family Members") and the negative nucleic acid test certificate within 72 hours before entering the library (they can also check by showing their offline Shanghai QR code or the original ID). If the Shanghai QR code is not green or readers cannot provide the negative nucleic acid test certificate within 72 hours (including the hours when the test is still in process), you are not allowed to enter the library. All readers coming from other places outside Shanghai or returning to Shanghai must meet the requirements of the latest Shanghai epidemic prevention policy before entering the library.
3. Readers should follow the signs in the library or follow the arrangement of librarians and observe library rules. Please wear a mask during your stay in the library, and keep a certain distance from each other and avoid group gathering;
4. Readers are not allowed to bring any food or colored drinks into the library;
5. Readers who do not conform to the latest epidemic prevention policy of Shanghai and have abnormal symptoms such as fever, cough and shortness of breath are not allowed to enter the library.
II. Notice
1. The reservation system will open twice everyday at 24 pm and 7 am, 7 days in advance for all types of reservations.
2. Readers who have successfully made an "event reservation", "library visit reservation" and "seat reservation" do not need to make an "admission reservation".
3. If you need to make a reservation for parking, after making a reservation for admission, visit, event or seat, a pop-up box will prompt you to make a "Parking Reservation". You can also find the parking reservation link in the upper right corner of each reservation page. The number of parking space reservation is limited, and we encourage readers to travel green by using public transport.
4. If you need to cancel the reservation, please cancel the "event reservation" 4 hours before the event begins; "admission reservation", "visit reservation" and "seat reservation" can be canceled in "My Reservation" at any time before the expiration of the reservation.
5. For "event reservation", please find the check-in librarian at the venue for the event to scan the QR code on your mobile phone for signing in; for "seat reservation", please scan the QR code on the reserved seat to sign in; you can sign in 30 minutes before and after the time reserved.
6. One default will be recorded for those who fail to sign in within the specified time, and the reservation system will not be available for 30 days for those who fail to sign in three times
7. Adults can bring up to 3 minors into the library with the "reservation for admission". Readers with children's library cards cannot bring minors into the library. If minor readers need to use "event reservation", "visit reservation” and "seat reservation", they need to make a separate reservation.
8. After a successful reservation, you can enter the library repeatedly on the same day with the reservation code and the Shanghai QR code. There is no dining area inside the library, and please arrange your time reasonably.
Due to the shortage of parking spaces, green travel is recommended. Readers who fail to make a reservation for parking in the library on weekends and holidays are suggested to use the parking spaces at the Pudong Exhibition Hall or other parking lots nearby.
