For example, the first prize winning essay, ‘The Cafés of Shanghai and a Slight Dilemma’, tells the author's first experience in Shanghai, and compares her life with that of her hometown in Argentina. ‘My Shanghai Odyssey’, which won the second prize, is a cohesive article that tells the author's imagination about the city, its past, present and future. Another second prize winning essay, ‘Chopsticks and Cups’, is also an excellent work of love. The author explores the "labyrinth" of Chinese culture and shares with us her feelings about the communications between China and Japan, which is rather touching and exciting. The third prize winning essay ‘Medicine • Shanghai’ begins with the doctor-patient relationship, which is one of the difficulties in the current society. With our joint efforts, the number, quality and creative ideas of the writings and the publicity media of the event have all made great progress. The parent platform of the "Shanghai Get-Together", the "Window of Shanghai" as a brand project of the Shanghai Library's foreign cultural exchanges has gone through a full 20 years. Over the past 20 years, through the "Window of Shanghai", we have opened the "Window of Culture", which is based on books and communications with the world. By September 2022, the "Window of Shanghai" had been opened in 177 libraries and institutions in 75 countries and regions on 6 continents. We believe that in the next 20 years, the "Window of Shanghai" will become a city level cultural brand with influence, as well as a bridge and link that plays an important role in China's cultural exchanges with foreign countries.
