Consul General then talked about the annual publications in Israel, as well as several cultural activities, such as Jerusalem Reading Week. In the conversation, they talked about the special fate of Jewish culture and Shanghai. Israel expects to hold cultural events and cooperation activities with the cultural institutions in Shanghai, leading young people to know more about this history. Director Chen Chao pointed out that the Shanghai Library had been devoted to collecting and sorting out old photo collections, including the photographic book of the great Israeli photographer, Sam Sanzetti. 2022 is the 30th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Israel and China, the 70th anniversary of the Shanghai Library and the 1st year of the library’s East Building.
