The Shanghai Library will be fully open from April 1, 2021 on the basis of the implementation of unchanged limited reservation entry. Details are as follows:
1. Opening days: Tuesday to Sunday, and closed all day on Monday.
2. Open areas: Shanghai Library (No. 1555 Middle Huaihai Road), Bibliotheca Zi-Ka-Wei (also called "Xu-jia-hui Library") (No. 80 North Cao-xi Road)

3. Entry to the Library requires a reservation, but there's no need to make a reservation for using the 24-hour loan & return pavilion outside the library.
(1)Shanghai Library: Readers can use the Library's official WeChat account to enter the "Reservation for Entry" system and fill out the "Epidemiological Investigation Commitment" form. Senior readers can make a reservation by telephone at: 021-64455555 ext. 2000 (Monday to Sunday, 8:30-17:00). Readers who wish to visit the exhibitions can make a reservation by telephone at : 021-64455555 ext. 5016 or 5017 (Monday to Sunday, 8:30-17:00).
(2)Bibliotheca Zi-Ka-Wei (also called "Xu-jia-hui Library"): Readers who wish to use the foreign language historical documents and the related services can make a reservation by telephone or on-site. The telephone for information and reservation: 021-64455555 ext. 1133 (Monday to Sunday, 8:30-17:00).
4. Readers who have not made a reservation or who have made a reservation but have fever, cough, shortness of breath and other symptoms will be discouraged from entering the Library.
5. Readers must present his/her Code of "Reservation for Entry" or be checked for his/her telephone reservation information, and at the same time show his/her “Shanghai QR Code (green)", before entering the Library.
6. Readers are suggested to return all the overdue books and periodicals when coming to the Library. For those who reserve "reference reading" service, please bring your reader's cards. During the normalization of epidemic prevention and control, the Library continues to exempt overdue fees.
7. After entering the library, readers should follow the Library rules, wear masks all the time and avoid gatherings.
