IT4L2021 Was Held at the Shanghai Library

On October 22, IT4L2021 was held at the Shanghai Library. The forum was organized by the Shanghai Society of Library Science and Shanghai Library Association.
The meeting was held both online and on-site. Leaders and library experts from more than 40 public libraries and university libraries, as well as representatives of more than 10 library related companies, attended the meeting. The Tencent Meeting on line, the live broadcast of the meeting on Tencent Meeting and on Bilibili attracted more than 4,000 visitors.
Four experts gave keynote reports on the theme of smart libraries.
Li Xinwan, Director of the Shanghai Jiaotong University Library, gave a report titled "Open Thinking and Exploration of Future Libraries: Taking the Shanghai Jiaotong University Library as an Example". Director Li Xinwan discussed the development of library openness, and talked about the openness of libraries in the future from the aspect of Shanghai Jiaotong University Library.
Mr. Tom Cramer, Deputy Director of the Stanford University Library, sent a video of his report. He talked about the options for the future library platform of the Stanford University and the international FOLIO community, and at the end of his report, he raised a number of open questions that were thought-provoking.
The title of the report given by Xu Qiang, Deputy Director of the Shanghai Library, was "Reflections on the Construction of Library Smart Space Services and Reading Ecosystem". Combined with the construction of the East Building of the Shanghai Library, Deputy Director Xu Qiang shared his thoughts on the library smart space services, the construction of reading ecology, and the architecture of a new generation of libraries.
The title of the report given by Xu Yibo, Director of the Ningbo Library was "Connecting and Empowering: Practice and Ideas of Building Smart Services". Director Xu Yibo gave an introduction to the current situation of the Ningbo Library's smart services, and expressed views and suggestions on how to provide in-depth smart services in public libraries in the future.
In the afternoon, the "Experts Face to Face" session was chaired by Liu Wei, Deputy Director of the Shanghai Library.
Together with Liu Wei, directors and experts from the Peking University Library, Shandong University Library, Shanghai Jiaotong University Library, Sichuan Provincial Library and other libraries discussed such topics as "What Is the Biggest Challenge Facing the Chinese Library Community?" "How to Promote the Application of the Next-generation Service Platform?" and etc, and then they also interacted with the audience.
