On August 27, 2020, Mr. Liao Zhenwu,the Chinese oil painting artist, donated part of his drawings of “STORIES OF MINGUO” toShanghai Library. Mr. Zhou Deming, Deputy Director of Shanghai Library, accepted the donation and issued the donation certificate on behalf of the library.

The painting“STORIES OF MINGUO” is 30 meters long and 4 meters high. It depicts the historical process of the Republic of China. It integrates the changes of the times into the picture through the perspectives of culture, architecture and transportation, and shows the life scenes in Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Sichuan andGuangzhou. The pictures are inspired by many historical photos, written records and historical documentaries.
