Shanghai Library has received a letter of thanks from Shanghai People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (SPAFFC) recently. SPAFFC highly affirmed the active cooperation of Shanghai Library in the project "TRANS-PACIFIC EXCHANGE AND COOPERATION: Shanghai Commemorates the 40th Anniversary of China-U.S. Diplomatic Relations Through A City Journey" (2019).
President Clinton visited the Shanghai Library during his visit to China in 1998. Therefore, Shanghai Library has become an important station of the CITY JOURNEY in 2019. Mr. Chen Chao, President of Shanghai Library, Mr. Wang Heming, former Secretary of the CPC Committee of Shanghai Library, and Mr. Miao Qihao, former Deputy Director of Shanghai Library, jointly received more than 30 guests from home and abroad of the CITY JOURNEY.
