It presents the development status, user behavior habits and future development of China's digital reading industry in 2019 from market, content, user, trend and other dimensions.

The total number of digital reading users in China has reached 470 million by 2019. In 2019, China's digital reading users have 8.8 paper books and 14.6 e-books per capita. In 2019, 53.8% of Chinese digital readers contacted more than 20 e-books, up 3.4% from last year. In terms of gender, women read a lot and men pay a lot. First-tier cities have a high willingness to pay, and second- and third-tier cities have a large amount of reading. In terms of age composition, post-90s readers account for more than half of the total, reaching 55.6%, of which college students have the strongest willingness to pay.

It is particularly worth mentioning that digital reading users are relatively serious in reading behavior as a whole, and the amount of contact with paper books of them is also higher than the national average level.
