Recently, Shanghai Library (Institute of Scientific and Technical Information of Shanghai) was successfully selected as the preparatory organization of the third round of World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Technology and Innovation Support Center (TISC) in China.
TISC is a project that designed and started by WIPO. WIPO supports the establishment and development of TISC institutions and related networks at the national, regional and international levels to provide appropriate and high-quality technology and innovation support services for technological innovation in developing countries.
In September 2019, the TISC expert group visited Shanghai Library (Institute of Scientific and Technical Information of Shanghai) to conduct conference investigations. The expert group gave great affirmation to the patent information service capabilities of the library (institute). In terms of facilities, resources, talents, intelligence research and service capabilities, the library (institute) has fully demonstrated its strength and potential as a WIPO TISC in China.
Shanghai Library (Institute of Scientific and Technical Information of Shanghai) will use this opportunity to further improve its service capabilities so as to provide the government, universities and enterprises with higher quality technology and innovation support services.
