In recent years, China's library field has focused on the dyslexia groups. South China Normal University has released the "Research on Services for Dyslexia Groups in Libraries", which opened up a systematic study on the services for dyslexia groups in China.
The research is based on three dimensions.
The first dimension is to provide a reference for the public libraries of our country to carry out the services for dyslexia groups by studying of the practice of library services in developed countries and regions such as the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, northern Europe, Japan and Singapore.
The second dimension is to investigate the cognition and service status of dyslexia groups in China so as to promote the development of dyslexia services in the library circle.
The third dimension is based on the practice of dyslexia services in the libraries of developed countries and regions, probes into the strategies of the comprehensive implementation of dyslexia services in the libraries of our country.
This research enriches and develops the theory of library special group service in China. At the same time, it also leads the practice of reading disability group service in libraries of our country, helps some children with reading disability to improve their reading effects, popularizes the concept of "dyslexia" to parents and the public, and improves the public awareness of dyslexia and the attention of this recessive special group.
