The mode of "library + academy" combines the modern library with the ancient academy, relying on the simple and quiet environment of the traditional academy, and with the help of the rich collection resources of the modern library. It is committed to the spread of Chinese excellent traditional culture.
Before 2010, the "library + academy" mode developed slowly. Only Baiyun Academy of Dalian Library and Changbai Academy of Jilin Provincial Library are managed in this mode. After 2014, the mode of "library + academy" was adopted by more libraries: Nishan Academy of Shandong Library, Zhengyi Academy of Fujian Library, Changjiang Academy of Heilongjiang Library and Haiwen Academy of Hainan Library have been successively established.
1. Baiyun Academy of Dalian Library
Baiyun Academy was founded in 2000, which is the earliest "library + academy" model in public libraries in China. The academy is the first to offer ancient Chinese classic courses for 6-12-year-olds. In addition, in August 2001, it established two brands: "Baiyun Forum" and "Baiyun Singing Troupe".
2. Nishan Academy of Shandong Library
The Academy is located on Nishan, Qufu, the birthplace of Confucius. It is an important symbol of Chinese excellent traditional culture. In 2014, Shandong Library took the lead in launching the “Library + College” service mode in Shandong Province, initially established the public cultural service network system based on "Nishan academy", further expanded the service field of public library, and had a wide influence in the whole country.
3. Zhengyi Academy of Fujian Library
In 2015, Zhengyi Academy was opened to the public as a type of the traditional academy. Its ancient architectural style created a simple and classic ancient Chinese cultural atmosphere for modern readers. The Academy adopts a variety of activities such as "Courses of Chinese Studies + Lectures of Chinese Studies + Traditional Cultural Activities + Traditional Cultural Exhibitions". At present, the academy has compiled a complete set of Chinese studies textbooks in thread-bound edition, covering a variety of traditional Chinese classics.
