A Visit from the National Library of New Zealand
On November 21, Chen Chao, director of Shanghai Library, welcomed Peter Murray, Deputy Chief Executive of Information and Knowledge Services of Internal Affairs of New Zealand and Bill Macnaught, Librarian of National Library of New Zealand.
Chen gave a brief introduction of Shanghai library to the guests, and made special recommendations of digitalization, the Shanghai Library East as well as the “Window of Shanghai” project. Murray made detailed introduction of the latest development, status of exhibition and exhibition running mechanism of the National Library of New Zealand. Macnaught sincerely invited Chen to the New Zealand library forum next year and the 86th IFLA held in New Zealand in 2020. After the meeting, Chen accompanied the guests to take a tour at the Shanghai Library’s Innovation Space, New Technology Demo Center and so forth. |
