UC Berkeley EAL Managing Director Zhou Xinping Visited SL

ON July 22, Mr. Zhou Xinping, the Managing Director of the East Asian Libraries and the Deputy Librarian of Libraries of the University of California, Berkeley, visited Shanghai Library on invitation.
He was welcomed in the morning by Dr. Wu Jianzhong, the SL Director, and joined a presentation made by the System & Network Center, Shanghai Library’s IT department, about some facts and figures of the development of the Digital Platform of Humanities Resources and Assets. In the afternoon Mr. Zhou gave a lecture in the name of “The Library Services and Innovation in the 21st Century”. Professor Zhou also held talks with Mr. Zhou Deming and Liu Wei, the two SL deputy directors, saying he looked forward to further cooperation opportunities in aspects of “Window of Shanghai” project, mutual visit by library staff and organization of exhibitions. |
