2016 LSC Annual Conference Opened in Tongling, Anhui
| The Tonling city of Anhui Province is hosting the 2016 Annual Conference of the Library Society of China as well as the Annual Chinese Library Exhibition. The annual conference is sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and is hosted by the LSC and the Tonling People’s Municipal Government, in cooperation with the National Library of China, the National Public Cultural Development Center affiliated to the Ministry of Culture, the Chinese Ancient Book Preservation Association and the Anhui Provincial Department of Culture. And this is the first time the LSC annual conference held by a prefecture-level city of a central China province, reflecting the ideology for developing China’s libraries in an innovative, harmonious, green, open and sharing manner, meanwhile promoting the rapid development of the libraries in China’s central region by showcasing the innovative services extended by libraries of Tonling. This year’s annual gathering features academic meetings and the exhibition, in a theme of “Innovation in China: technology, society and libraries”. |
