Music Seminar Held by Mr. Saito Yasaburo

| On January 13, 2015, Mr. Saito Yasaburo visited the Shanghai Library and held a seminar themed on 'Symphony No.3' by Beethoven and other classical music from China and the world. He also shared Chinese classic 'The Moon Reflected in Er-quan' with the audience. In the past few years, Mr. Saito visited the Shanghai Library almost every year and delivered lectures on classical music and generously donated his personal collection of records and CDs to the Library. This year, Mr. Saito has come to his 80th birthday, and his donation to the Shanghai Library has reached the first decade. UP till now, he has donated 338 types of recordings, CDs and DVDs. He did not reserve to display his happiness to come to China and share with Chinese audience the charms of music and expressed the hope that he would like to continue to donate music albums to the Shanghai Library and hold seminars for the Shanghai readers. |
