A Book Donation Ceremony Was Held by National Library Board, Singapore at Shanghai Library

On the morning of Oct. 19, 2015, a delegation of 5 headed by Mr. Wang Shouyi, the consul-general of the General Consulate of Singapore in Shanghai, and Ms. Tay Ai Cheng, vice president of National Library Board, Singapore and general curator of Singapore Public Library, visited Shanghai Library and held a solemn book donation ceremony there. The activity aims to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Singapore and the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Singapore and China. Director of Shanghai Library Mr. Wu Jianzhong and vice director Mr. Zhou Deming expressed their sincere gratitude to the delegates for their donation of more than 200 books. Both parties discussed many issues with reference values during the development of their respective libraries, such as the vision of library service, big data collection, and virtual reference services.
