New Jilin Provincial Library to Be Formally Opened on September 28

After 5 years of construction, new Jilin Provincial Library will be formally opened on September 28, and was preliminarily opened on September 15.
As one of the earliest provincial libraries in China, Jilin Provincial Library has a history of 105 years. The new library is designed to have 5,000,000 books and 3,000 seats, and to receive 6,000 reader-times a day averagely, which is 4 times of the old one. Free WiFi will cover the whole library. To satisfy the demands of younger readers, a colorful children’s activity area is set up. In addition, there is a 4D theatre experience area.
The new library will highlight the features of multifunctional functions and public service, and integrate service, communication, study, exhibition, leisure, social training, and administration.
