Rilke is one of the most important poets in the whole world, but his biography Rilke - A Poet perhaps comes a bit too late. Fortunately, the value of a poet is eternal, and the attention to and the interpretation of his poetry, whether earlier or later, does not make much difference, as far as the whole history of human existence is concerned.

"Ancient Hostility – The Appreciation of the New Book Rilke: A Poet is a lecture given by the specially invited guest speakers, Xiao Kaiyu and Cao Yuanyong, which will allow readers to have the opportunity to talk about Rilke, poetry and everything else associated.

About the Speakers

Xiao Kaiyu, a famous poet, was born in 1960. He has presented his poetic writings with unique individual style. He is committed to the art of poetry and focuses his attention on the internal aspects of poetry. The styles of his poetry are constantly changing, and he has extended his unique personal genre to a distant border, showing his own remarkable style.

Cao Yuanyong is deputy chief editor of the Shanghai Literature and Art Publishing House. He has translated and published The Notebooks of Malte Laurids Brigge, Waves, No Country for Old Men and The Black Album, etc.
