To commemorate the fiftieth anniversary of the establishment of Sino-French diplomatic relations, the Shanghai People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, the French Consulate General in Shanghai, the Shanghai Library and the Foreign Language College of Fudan University jointly organized the “Shanghai Symposium on the 50th Anniversary of the Establishment of Sino-French Diplomatic Relations” on May 7 at the Shanghai Library.

Xiaoshu WANG, Executive Vice President of the Shanghai People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, Thomas Rollet, Deputy Consul General of France in Shanghai, and Jianzhong WU, Director of the Shanghai Library attended the symposium and delivered speeches. Director WU introduced recent cultural exchanges and cooperation between France and the Shanghai Library through the "Window of Shanghai" project.

     Before the symposium, the guests, accompanied by Director WU, visited the New Technology Demo Center and the Innovation Space of the Library.
