At 9:00 on April 4, 2014, Ms. Agnes M. Kafula, Mayor of Windhoek, Namibia and the other five members of the delegation visited the Shanghai Library, accompanied by the officials from the Foreign Affairs Office of the Shanghai Municipal Government. Mayor Kafula came specifically to attend the book donation ceremony of the "Window of Shanghai". On behalf of the Shanghai Library, Director Wu Jianzhong gave a short speech at the ceremony, and expressed his welcome to mayor kafula. Both sides wish to maintain the opportunity for further exchange and cooperation in the future.

After the ceremony, Mayor Kafula, accompanied by Director Wu Jianzhong toured the library and received a Shanghai Library reader card, thus formally becoming a reader of the Shanghai Library.
