The new building has a floor area of nearly 50,000 square meters and a total land area of about 25,000 square meters. The new building is designed to have a capacity for the collection of three million books, 2,500 reading seats, and about 200 seats for self-study. The new building is equipped with nearly 200 computers free to the readers, located on various floors. Readers can use the computer just by logging into their accounts and have free access to the Internet as well. At the same time, the library will have the full coverage of WiFi. In addition to basic functions, in the new library building, there are also a self-service library, a new technology demo area and a multimedia center, offering a completely new library reading and circulation experience. The new library has a special reading area for visually impaired readers, providing Braille books and audio books for circulation, as well as reading devices for the visually impaired and other services. The library will also organize a variety of activities for visually impaired readers. The children's reading area in the new library has set up a toy library, small theater, and parents & children reading area. On the first floor mezzanine, there are youth material loan and reading area, animation reading area and youth green Internet zone.
