Introduction
Over ninety years old, the famous Yueju Opera singer Jin Yanang is quite well-known for her talent in the trade. Her career as a performance artist has gone through different periods of development of the Yueju opera and come into contact with a variety of performance forms. She herself is good at playing different female roles. This lecture is not only a review of her art, but also reflects the importance attached by the theater circle to the female roles in Yueju opera, as well as the sense of responsibilities of cultural communities in transmitting the traditional culture and carrying forward the fine art of folk operas.
Coinciding with the Mid-Autumn Festival, Jin Yanfang's students, friends and family will gather in the Shanghai Library to share their deep feelings for the Yueju opera.
