On August 13, 2013, accompanied by Mr. TAN Huiming, council member of the Shanghai People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, Mr. Goran Vasiljević, president of the “Far East Society” of Belgrade Serbia, Ms. Marina Pop-Cenić, vice president of the Society, and Mr. Misa Milutin Ignjatovic, the famous crystal artist of Serbia, visited the Shanghai Library. The mission of this delegation was to discuss the further cooperation with the Shanghai Library in “Window of Shanghai” project, and renew its Memorandum of Understanding. At the same time, a group of Serbian university students organized by the Society visited the Shanghai Library accompanied by the staff from the Library’s International Cooperation Division.

Dr. WU Jianzhong, director of the Shanghai Library received and held a pleasant talk with the Serbian guests. The Library’s International Cooperation Division staff attended the meeting. Director WU first extended welcome to the guests, and then showed heartfelt appreciation for their sustained support to the Library and its “Window of Shanghai”. Also, Dr. Wu expressed his deep admiration for the great achievements that the “Far East Society” made in Chinese language teaching. Both sides stressed the sincere wish to promote their partnership. After the meeting, the guests experienced the Library’s “Innovation Space” in company with Dr. Wu, who as well had a nice chat with the student delegates.
