At 15:00 on July 3, 2013, Hung Shi-Chan, Director of the Taipei Public Library visited the Shanghai Library. Mr. Mu Duanzheng, Party Secretary of the Shanghai Library received Director Hung Shi-Chan in the 2nd floor VIP room, and he thanked Mr. Hung for the hospitality he received when leading a delegation to Taiwan. Subsequently, Director Wu Jianzhong and the International Office staff accompanied Mr. Hong to visit the Creation • New Space, New Tech. Demo Center and Ancient Books Reading Area and other places of the library.

The next day, Director Wu Jianzhongand and Director Hung Shi-Cha on behalf of their respective libraries signed the Memorandum of Friendship and Cooperation at the 2013 Shanghai • Taipei City Forum, launching a new round of cooperation and exchanges between the two libraries.
