The Smallest Library in New York Housing Only 40 Books

"Daily Mail" reported on June 4 that the smallest library in the world appeared in New York - the library can accommodate only 40 books for people to borrow free of charge.

This small library is made by two engineers using environmentally friendly materials, with four wooden brackets supporting an old tank in the shape of a helmet upside down. There are several small holes on the wall for pedestrians to look inside, while plastic materials protecting books from the wind and sun. Although this mini library can only accommodate only one reader to read inside, it has attracted a lot of people's attention since its appearance last month.

The designers said they hope this mini library can bring moments of comfort to the busy residents in the hustle and bustle of the city and allow them to feel the beauty of life. Currently there are more than 5,000 such small libraries appearing in the cities of the world.
