On the afternoon of April 19, 2013, Mr. Lincoln Bernardes Junior, deputy consul general of the Consulate General of Brazil in Shanghai, Mr. Andre Dunham Maciel, first secretary of Division of Cultural Promotion Operations of the Ministry of External Relation of Brazil, and Ms. Lidia Wang, secretary of Cultural Section in Consulate General of Brazil in Shanghai visited the Shanghai Library, and met with the staff from the Library’s International Cooperation Division. Mr. Andre Dunham Maciel said, the Ministry of External Relation of Brazil planned to conduct a “Brazilian Month” in China in the coming September, and thus hoping to hold a lecture about Brazilian literature, as an activity for the Month, in the Shanghai Library and donate some books both to the Shanghai readers and the Library. The Shanghai Library both extended appreciation and showed willingness to promote this activity.
