Shanghai Fashion Industry Theme Library Opened
On April 12, as one of the activities of the Shanghai International Fashion Culture Festival and the Shanghai Fashion Week, the opening ceremony of the Shanghai Fashion Industry Theme Library was held at the Shanghai International Fashion Education Center on the Changshou Road by the side of the Suzhou River.

The Shanghai Fashion Industry Theme Library was jointly established by the Shanghai Textile Holding (Group) Company (SHANGTEX) and the Shanghai Library, with fashion industry as the main subject. The library has opened a number of functional areas with trendy decor, including international digital resource reading area, digital technology experience area, reading rooms, and the “Remote Think Tank Salon”.

The Fashion Industry Theme Library relies on the Shanghai Library's rich collections and the complete fashion industry chain of the Shanghai Textile Holding (Group) Company, as well as the cooperation between the Shanghai International Fashion Education Center, the world-renowned fashion educational institution, MOD'SPE International (Paris Fashion) Marketing Management School and the U.S. Parsons School of Design, and the strategic partnership with WGSN, a well-known British online fashion forecasting and trend analysis service provider. It aims at the forefront of international fashion industry development at home and abroad, presenting to the readers the latest and most complete fashion information, and making contributions to the development and services of information resources in the area of fashion industry for the construction of Shanghai as a fashion capital. It will become a reliable public information service platform for fashion industry professionals, teachers, students and the general public.
