Introduction
Practicing from spring to winter and from summer to autumn, the top priority of the Chinese young Peking opera actors and actresses in the country in 2012 is no other than the 7th CCTV National Young Peking Opera Singers TV Contest. At this contest, Wang Xilong, Guo Yi, Chen Shengjie, Lan Tian, Hao Jie, Zha Sina and Gao Hongmei of the Shanghai Peking Opera House won the gold medals, of which Lan Tian and Hao Jie ranked first respectively in the Laosheng and comedian groups.
Excellent performances at the contest not only demonstrate the individual skills of the participating actors and actresses, but also present the overall image of the Shanghai Peking Opera House. Seven award-winning young actors and actresses are invited to give a lecture at the Shanghai Library, discussing the various roles of the Peking Opera, and at the same time, describing the young people’s persistent pursuit of dreams by telling the story of their struggle.
