On March 21, 2013, a 6-person delegation led by Prof. dr. Mircea Dumitru, rector of the Bucharest University of Romania, visited the Shanghai Library, and was received by Mr. Mu Duanzheng, chairman of the Shanghai Library council. The two sides held a pleasant conversation. Chairman Mu first extended welcomed and then introduced the Library to the guests. Prof. Mircea Dumitru detailed the Bucharest University in teaching, research, faculty and foreign exchanges, and said that the University, as one of the most ancient and famous of its kind in Romania, and the affiliated library were looking forward to collaborating with the Shanghai Library. Both sides said that the sustained and close cooperation was planned to be seen in the near future.

After the meeting, the delegation visited the Library accompanied by the staff from the International Cooperation Division.
