On October 19, 2013, Shanghai Library Director Dr. WU Jianzhong attended the 2.013 conference (Library 2.0: the future of libraries in the digital age), which was also called “The Third Annual Global Conversation about the Future of Libraries”. The School of Library and Information Science (SLIS) at San José State University was the founding conference sponsor. In this conference, there were nearly a hundred speakers, among which 16 persons gave keynotes. Every keynote speaker had a virtual session room for the communication between the presenter and his/her audience.

Director Dr. WU, as one of the keynote speakers, shared a speech entitled “Prosperous City with Talents: Library Supporting Urban Transformation”.
