On the afternoon of July 27th, Professor Aled.G.Jone, Senior Pro-Vice Chancellor of Aberystwyth University, Wales, UK visited the Shanghai Library and delivered a lecture entitled “Public Education and Major Libraries in the UK: policy and practice”, which attracted approximately 60 persons from the Library and its branches. Active interactions were made during the lecture between the speaker and his audience. The Library director Dr. Wu Jianzhong and the deputy director Mr. Liu Wei received the guest. At the end of the lecture, Dr. WU presented Professor Jone with a Letter-of-Thanks specially made for him by the Library, and then showed him around the Library.
