On 9^th May, 2012, a 4-person delegation led by Mr. Christopher Scott, Director of Investment & Development of Dubai World Trade Centre, visited the Shanghai Library and met with the Library Director Dr. WU Jianzhong, together with the related staff from International Cooperation Division and Library & Information Sciences Research Institute.

Serving as the institute who works for Dubai to bid to host World Expo 2020, Dubai World Trade Centre made a special trip to the Shanghai Library to listen to Dr. WU’s ideas and suggestions about Expo. Dr. WU, one of the theme supervisors for Shanghai Expo 2010, overviewed World Expo’s history of development, summarized Shanghai Expo 2010, and introduced what the Shanghai Library had contributed to Expo 2010. After the meeting, the delegation visited the Library and focused on the room for World Expo Information.
