On 29th May, 2012, Mr. MU Duanzheng, chairman of the Shanghai Library Council, and the Library Director Dr. WU Jianzhong received Dr. Marcial Rubio Correa, Rector of Pontifical Catholic University of Peru, and Dr. Ruben Tang, Director of Confucius Institute at Pontifical Catholic University of Peru. The two sides have a pleasant conversation. Dr. Marcial Rubio Correa said that there was an increased demand for Chinese learning in Pontifical Catholic University of Peru. He especially showed appreciations to the ‘Window of Shanghai’ for its constant book donation to the University’s Confucius Institute, and also gave his congratulatory words for the project’s 10th anniversary. Both sides sincerely hoped to further cooperation and friendship in the future.

After the meeting, the Peru guests toured around the Library and the Zi-Ka-Wei Bibliotheca, in the company of the staff from International Cooperation Division.
