2. 2012 Citizen Digital Reading Campaign: The city’s digital library development will be improved in both scale and quality via the innovation efforts made in cooperation with digital device vendors and content suppliers to make digital resources available to an expanded audience. This campaign aims at developing the citizen’s digital reading custom and promoting the national reading rate, so as to pave the way for Shanghai’s smart city construction strategy in the intellectual aspect.
3. Appreciation of the ex-libris from the cultural perspective: the ex-libris is mark to the book indicating its owner. The ex-libris spanning 500 years is a fascinating source of historical, artistic and socio-cultural interest regarding book and book collection. The lecture will share with the audience a number of interesting stories taken from the western history of ex-libris.
4. “I’m reading, and I’m happy” -- Shanghai Disabled Persons Motivational Forum & Inauguration Ceremony of the Disabled Persons Reading Festival: personal experience and inspiring stories will be shared at the forum titled “Reading changes your life”.
