On 17th April, 2012, Mr. Stephen L. Nickle, Multi-Area Manager, Asia/Pacific/Africa, The Genealogical Society of Utah, and Mr. QIAN Zhengmin paid a formal visit to the Shanghai Library, and was received by Mr. ZHOU Deming, vice director of the Shanghai Library, together with the related staff from Historical Documentation Center and International Cooperation Division. The two sides had a short talk, after which consensuses were reach on issues like cataloguing Chinese genealogy, producing an iPac for Chinese genealogy, and establishing a Chinese genealogy centre.
