Mr. Didier Parakian, Vice-Mayor of Marseille visited the Shanghai Library on the morning of 19th March, 2012. The French guest was received by the library director Dr. Wu Jianzhong and the staff from International Cooperation Division. Dr. Wu exchanged ideas with Mr. Parakian on culture exhibition and book display. The two sides decided to launch a Marseille book corner in the Shanghai Library. The opening ceremony of the book corner, together with a French writer salon, will be held at the end of this October or the beginning of November. Later, Mr. Parakian was showed around the Friendship Library, the area for book corner, its opening ceremony and the salon, from which he derived great satisfaction.
