   The Shanghai Institute of Visual Arts, Fudan University was officially founded in 2005, and the Department of Broadcasting and Anchoring was established in 2007. This department and the radio and television media in Shanghai have jointly set up new mechanism for training personnel in broadcasting and anchoring, developed a new teaching model for the cooperation of the industry and education, and built a new platform for the integrated education, production and research in universities, which fully embodies a new educational philosophy.

The recitation was mainly planned by the students themselves, with independent rehearsal and the guidance of the faculties. In these years, such famous recitation artists in Shanghai as Guo Chuanzhong, Fang Zhou and etc. have devoted their time and efforts to the professional growth of the program and their arrival is also a great encouragement to the students.

The students and faculties regard this recitation as the beginning of their contribution to the society and the thanksgiving for their growth. In the future, we will provide a broader stage for more outstanding students, experts and scholars, and constantly enrich and expand the participation and activities of the Shanghai Library Lectures and Recitations.
