On September 9 the Library Director Dr. WU Jianzhong and his deputy Prof. ZHOU Deming hosted a visit by the Swedish Sinologist Mr. Björn Löwendahl, who came to donate some precious collections from his extensive catalog of rare books, including some incunabula copies.

Sincere thanks were extended by Mr. WU and ZHOU, who also promised the soon accessibility of Mr. Löwendahl’s generous gifts to the local users after proper bibliographical processing.

In the afternoon Mr. Löwendahl paid a visit to the Zi-Ka-Wei Bibliotheca, the premises where some of his donations are suggested to be held, exhibited and accessed.
