On August 23, 2011 Mr. Jongpill Yoo, the former director of National Assembly Library of the Republic of Korea and the present district mayor of Gwanak-gu, Soul visited the Shanghai Library and discussed with Dr. Jianzhong WU, director of the Shanghai Library. Accompanied by Dr. WU, the delegation had a look around the Foreign Book Area, the New Technology Demo Center, the Ancient Book Reading Area, the Catalogue Hall and the Circulation Desk. Mr. Jongpill Yoo highly praised the skill of ancient book restoration and took strong interest in the book-carrier system.
