Shanghai Library is one of the few domestic libraries that feature a special collection of revolutionary documents. At present, the Library holds over 15,000 pieces (over 6,700 titles) which provide abundant and first-hand information for academic studies and copies for museums.
This collection spans almost a century, covers a wide geographic area and includes a variety of objects ranging from books and letters to photos, coupons and flyers.
Shanghai Library selects 70 books and newspapers (of 60 titles) to be displayed in the theme exhibition entitled Marxism in China and showcases over 50 book covers in the form of exhibition boards. Rich in variety and great in value, the exhibition is aimed to demonstrate the dissemination of Marxist theory in China.
