Synopsis
Ike Meiers has given up treasure hunting ever since he lost his wife Maria in a rockslide. With their colleague Andre, the husband-and-wife team were hunting for a secret underground chapel dating back over a thousand years on the cliffs of Rugen Island. Since then, Ike has turned his back on archaeology and worried mostly about being a father to their daughter Krimhild. But eight years after the tragic accident, his past catches up to him when someone seems to have taken up the hunt for the Hoard of the Nibelung, a fabled treasure supposedly unearthed by Charlemagne 1200 years ago. When Ike's home is ransacked and his daughter discovers her mother did not die in a traffic accident, Ike resolves to take up the quest again. Along with his quirky techie assistant Justus and attractive museum curator Katharina, he begins to piece together the clues leading to the mythical treasure. Their rival in the search turns out to be wealthy tycoon Heinrich Brenner, who hired Ike's unscrupulous former partner André, who will stop at nothing to achieve archaelogical glory. The chase leads the adventurers to some of the most fascinating and stunning locations of Mediaeval history, including the Cologne Cathedral, the Extern Stones of the Teutoburg Forest, and famed Neuschwanstein Castle…

Synopsis
New York FBI agent JERRY COTTON (Christian Tramitz) is on the brink of losing his sterling reputation: the head of the Supervisory Authority DARYL D. ZANUCK (Christiane Paul) accuses him of having committed a double murder. Did Jerry shoot SAMMY SERRANO (Moritz Bleibtreu) out of revenge because he was unable to nail him for the theft of the States Union gold? And did he really kill his FBI partner TED CONROY (Janek Rieke) in order to eliminate the sole witness? For Jerry, it's the beginning of a race against time: he must elude his own colleagues from the FBI, track down the gangster KLAUS SCHMIDT (Heino Ferch) and his gang (Monica Cruz, Jürgen Tarrach, Joram Voelklein), and find the true killer as soon as possible. Jerry's sole allies are his red Jaguar XKE, his .38 Smith & Wesson, and his new partner PHIL DECKER (Christian Ulmen).
