In the morning of April 23, 2009, a delegation of 10 sent from Russian State Library visited Shanghai Library and were received by Dr. Wu Jianzhong, director of Shanghai Library with sincere welcome. After sending greetings on behalf of their director Mr. Viktor Fedorov, the delegates started a discussion on long-term cooperation in future with the host library. Dr. Wu made a detailed introduction to the library development and accepted the gift books from the visiting guests, who were afterwards led on a library tour and paid a particular visit to Cataloguing Department to learn about the cataloguing of Russian documents in Shanghai Library.
