A person’s memory carries his/her experiences; a people’s memory records those of a group; whereas a nation’s memory composes the inheritance and passions for its past.

Bearing this in mind, CCTV 10 made the first attempt to produce a live documentary—China’s Memory: A Day for Cultural Heritages. The production team selected 30 non-material cultural heritages, including music, dance, opera, handicraft, medication, custom, and sports, from over 1,000 in China, filming their current status and analyzing the value.
