C., New York, Toronto, Alexandria, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Sydney, Tokyo, Singapore, Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong.

Each chapter briefly outlines the respective city’s and library’s history and development, the libraries’ special collections, the various forms of management, the services provided and some future developments.
