bout 28 years since the Shanghai Library began to organize lectures, 1,200 lectures have been held in the Shanghai Library, with over 900,000 listeners. A series of services have also resulted, including patents, web sites and audio-visual reading rooms for lectures. A number of famous scholars and celebrities have given lectures, and enriched the cultural life of the public and the cultural content of the city, with their deep insight, good taste and profound discussions.
