Mr. Liu Xinwu's The Class Teacher has always been regarded as the starting point of contemporary literature history and representative of "Scar Literature" whereas his new work Destined Encounter: My Thoughts inside My Drawings constitutes his autobiography that tells the stories he lives through and reveals to the readers a picture of his times. In this lecture, Mr. Liu would share his personal understanding on life with the audience present. 

About the Lecturer

Mr. Liu Xinwu, born in Sichuan in 1942 and moved to Beijing in 1950, used to work as secondary school teacher, editor in publishing companies and editor-in-chief of People's Literature (magazine). He published a short story entitled The Class Teacher that was evaluated as representative of "Scar Literature". His works are of various genres and highly acknowledged by the literature circle.

Mr. Li Xinwu started his studies on A Dream of Red Chamber in 1993 and produced a series of programs on his interpretation of this Chinese literary classic, which aroused strong enthusiasm among the general public.
